Chairman
With more than three decades of active involvement in the securities and banking industry, John Keffer is a recognized leader in the mutual fund servicing industry. His long tenure (from 1986 to 2003) as founder, president and owner of Forum Financial Group, saw this mutual and hedge fund outsourcing group become the largest privately owned service provider in the United States. Forum’s major off-shore fund operation in Bermuda was voted Best in Class for fund administration three years running by Global Custodian magazine. Forum’s Warsaw office became a leading European fund transfer agent. Forum offered fund administration, accounting, custody, transfer agency and shareholder services to funds with a great variety of styles and assets levels.
In 2003 John sold Forum to Citigroup and became president of Citigroup Global Fund Services. He was responsible for Citigroup’s global mutual and hedge fund servicing business. Under John’s direction, Citigroup’s fund service sector achieved significant revenue growth, expanded to twenty-three countries and developed new products, including new service offerings for middle office and separately managed accounts.
Before founding Forum in 1986, John had already acquired a significant track record. As senior vice president, Reich & Tang, he created the company’s bank mutual fund business, securing twenty of the country’s forty largest banks as clients. Previous to that, John was a senior vice president at Citigroup, where he acquired a broad foundation in finance, product development, marketing, operations and strategic planning.
John has been, for the last decade, president and owner of Forum Trust,
a state-chartered, non-depository bank currently engaged in consulting and asset management. He is also Vice Chairman and Trustee, Forum Funds, an umbrella registrant utilized by sixteen investment advisory clients.
